‘Natural capital’ describes the Earth’s stock of natural assets in financial terms, implying that wise management of our ecosystems, soil, air, water and biodiversity can generate dividends and returns. 
Is this a helpful approach to considering our resources that should inform economic and environmental policy, or does it obscure the fact that nature is priceless?
